DIY waterproof matches
Save yourself a few pennies and waterproof your own matches. If you camp, fish or hunt you must have waterproof matches stored somewhere.

Back when we were camping with my siblings and parents, we had a lot of camping gear and tools to use. I was in charge of waterproofing our matches since storm matches can be expensive in those days. Mom was very practical and would rather use the extra money we can save in buying more food for us. Today, I've stopped my DIY matches and have bought several waterproof matches since I tend to be busy.
